The Following account is about something very special and precious |
| Have you ever thought about have children and |
| give to them food, school,
medical assistence, a |
| home, clothes, leisure, affection and love? Just |
| thinking about this situation, lots of people feel |
| sad and give up. Now,
multiply this for 55. That |
| could seem impossible, but Celida and Gledson |
| Braga constitute one of the biggest families in |
| Brasil, with 53 adoptives
children and 2 biology- |
| cs Yes, it's real! This couple had adopt the chil- dren because they wanted to give to them a fa- |
| mily that love and take care these
children, through the project called Happy Family. The house, with more |
| than 15 rooms, placed in Belo Horizonte ( Brazil ) is a example of love and hope when we have a dream and an |
| aim to follow.
Everything started when Celida, that was still single, received a God's call
and decided to move in |
| to other house. "I lived with my mother and I decided
to live by myself. It was very difficult, because we were |
| very fondness and I
was the one who took care of her, because all of my brothers were already
married. I as- |
| ked God to guide my steps. Then in a morning she asked me if I
had a stove to take and she offered me her |
| stove. I knew that it was a sign
of her approval. Not a long time later, I got moved out with a stove and my |
| bed", she says.
After she move in, Celida, graduated in Social Service by PUC Minas, she
started her long mo- |
| ther journey when she saw a woman crying in a bus. The
woman told her that a neighbord dropped a child to |
| her, saying he would
come back, but that didn't happen. The difficults that she lived didn't give to
her condicti- |
| ons to take care of that baby. Then, Celida decided to take care
of that child. "We went together to the child- |
| hood Judge. In a while I had him
at home", says. The experience did part of her life and, after the first child, |
| passed some months, 3 other children came to me. Then, 3 more, till she
complete a family with 53 children, |
| where a great deal was victims of violence, abandon, and misery.
The Celida's story took a new way when she |
| was 32 children's mother and
met Gledson. He decided to visit the family after knows about a story of a woman |
| with lots of chilfren. " I heard about her story when I was at church
and I came to met the children, I brought |
| something and started to take them
to go out". Then, it was born the love for the children and Celida, till they |
| get
married. Of this love, came Sofia and LetIcia. Together, they multiply the love and constitute a Happy Fa- |
| mily. |
| Fifteen years ago a love and solidarity story started and still today in our
life's. The difficulties we passed by |
| weren't bigger than the hope to see
abandoned children lifes being changed through Jesus' love.
When the |
| Happy Family Project borned, we knew God had choice us to take
care of something wonderful, that would be |
| consolidate with solidary
people's help. Actually, more than 70 children and teenagers do part of the
Project, |
| living in a propitious surroundings for the children development
together with lots of brother's love.
Moved by |
| the dad feeling and our hope to keep secure each one, we
adopted one by one until we get 55 children.
But as |
| our love never ended, we opened our family to receive other children.
This time, with a different way, where |
| they would be protected in the "Shelter
House" until they be sender to an other place, to live secure among a |
| family. |
