| The Wedding |
A marriage blessed by God |
 |
A promise fulfilled. |
| A couple full of love for each other and for
the children the Lord |
| has entrusted to them. In early February, 1995
Gledson heard through a friend |
| about the work of a unique mother who had the
purpose of adopting children who |
| had no-one. He visited her, knowing this moment
would affect the rest of his life. It |
| did. When he arrived at her house he was welcomed
by Ricardo, one of the children, |
| and then Celida told him a little of her life
story. It was real. At that time, she had 32 |
| children in her care and Gledson was captivated
by the harmony in their house and |
| by how well-educated the children were. It was
fascinating to see the power of God |
| working in each one of their lives. |
|
Shortly after the first visit, Gledson
wanted to see the children again, to spend time |
 |
with them and play a small part in their lives. He
took them out to an ice-cream shop,
|
| but his involvement did not end here. His
first idea was to take them out once a |
| month. He owned a pick-up truck which could
transport all the children. In time, the |
| monthly visit became fortnightly and then
weekly and by the end of a year it was |
| twice weekly. A friendship had flourished
between him and the boys. |
| 1997 (41 children went to the church)
|
 |
|
| Forgetting the past and moving forward into the
future. |
| They hold their heads high and start again. It
shows many people the love, |
| faithfulness and promises of God for those who
walk in His ways. |
