The
Happy Family story started on April 26, 1988 when
Celida began welcoming children into her home
|

| The children that nobody wanted. |
| Everything started when Celida,
who was still single, received a “call from God” and decided
to move into another house. Celida says, “I lived with
my mother, but decided to live by myself. It was a very
difficult decision, as we were very fond of each other,
and I was the one who took care of her, as all of my brothers
were married. I asked God to guide my steps. One morning,
my mother asked me if I had a cooking stove to take and
she offered me hers. I knew that this was a sign of her
approval. Not long afterwards, I moved into my own home,
taking with me my mother’s stove and my bed”. Soon after,
Celida graduated in Social Studies with PUC Minas. |
